KIAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week: Chereese Langley (Point Park)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park University sophomore sprinter Chereese Langley had a strong day at the NCAA Division II Slippery Rock Dave Labor Invitational to earn KIAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors for March 28-April 3.
The DuBois, Pa., native earned a placement in both of the 100 and 20 meters as she placed seventh. She ran the 100 in 12.86 seconds and the 200 in 27.17 seconds while battling high winds at 40 mph.
She was also a big part of the relays. The 4x100 relay had a high finish of second place at 50.12 seconds, and the 4x400 relay was fifth at 4:25.03.
Point Park's next's competition is the Mt. Union Jim Wuske Invitational scheduled for April 9.
