KIAC Men's Tennis All-Conference Team & Awards recognized
RICHMOND, Ind. -- The KIAC Men's Tennis All-Conference Team & Awards were recognized at the KIAC Men's Tennis Tournament April 26 hosted by IU East.
Selected by the KIAC men's tennis head coaches, there were 12 players selected to the all-conference team as well as individual awards given for KIAC Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year.
New this year, a KIAC Men's Tennis Champions of Character Team was selected with one player named from each team who best exemplifies the NAIA's five character values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
IU Southeast senior Nick Roby was named the KIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year, and he led the Grenadiers to the KIAC Tournament championship.
Asbury's Jarred Miller was named the KIAC Men's Tennis Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to the KIAC Regular Season Championship and an NAIA Men's Tennis Top 25 ranking for much of the year.
Asbury's Julian Tellez was named the KIAC Newcomer of the Year, and IU Southeast's Jonathan James the KIAC Comeback Player of the Year.
Asbury led the KIAC Men's Tennis All-Conference Team with six selections followed by five from IU Southeast and one from IU East. The following are the KIAC Men's Tennis All-Conference Team & Awards and the KIAC Men's Tennis Champions of Character Team:
