KIAC Men's Golf All-Conference Team awarded at KIAC Tournament
GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The 2015-16 KIAC Men's Golf All-Conference Team was recognized at the KIAC Men's Golf Tournament April 15-16 at Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown, Ky.
The nine-member KIAC Men's Golf All-Conference Team was comprised of the players with the best combined score between the KIAC Fall Preview Tournament and the KIAC Tournanment championship in the spring.
There were five rounds played between the two tournaments this year, and the best four rounds for each player were taken into consideration for the all-conference team. The nine players with the lowest four rounds were named All-KIAC.
Leading the way as the KIAC Player of the Year was Cincinnati Christian University freshman Taylor Suggs. He placed first at the KIAC Tournament in the spring shooting 3-under for 54 holes (71-69-73).
Suggs also had the best combined score from the fall and spring with his best four rounds being 69-71-69-73 for a total of 282, which was 15 shots better than the next player. He won the spring tournament by 10 strokes.
The complete listing of the KIAC Men's Golf All-Conference Team is below. The 2015-16 KIAC Men's Golf Coach of the Year was David Ballou, who led his Brescia University team to the men's team championship and the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship automatic bid.
