KIAC All-Conference Scholar-Athletes Announced for 2015-16

FLORENCE, Ky. – The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is proud to announce that 653 student-athletes at its 13 member institutions have earned the distinction of 2015-16 KIAC All-Conference Scholar-Athletes in their respective sports.

The University of Rio Grande led all KIAC members with a total of 107 student-athletes earning the academic honor.

To earn the award, student-athletes must maintain a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher, compete in a KIAC championship sport and be nominated by their athletic department.

The KIAC All-Conference Scholar-Athlete award is new for the 2015-16 school year and recognizes excellence in the classroom while competing as a KIAC student-athlete.

The NAIA bestows a similar honor with the NAIA-Daktronics Scholar-Athlete recognition, which is for juniors and seniors who maintain a 3.50 GPA or higher.
