Brescia names Mike Gray new women's basketball coach (July 15, 2016)

OWENSBORO, Ky. -- Brescia University has announced Mike Gray will have the role as the Head Coach of the Women's Basketball team for 2016-2017 Season. Mike Gray currently serve as an assistant for the Men's Basketball team for 5 year and joined the Women's Basketball as assistant for 2 years. Mike Gray has not been a stranger to Brescia Basketball.

Under Coach Pechota, he was a assistant during 2011-12 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championship runner-up team.

Afterward Mike Gray continue to coach with Men's Coach Josh Gibson until he decided to broaden his coaching career with Summer Quesenberry.

During his two years with Women's Basketball team. Mike Gray has been a member of the Women's Basketball Association and has been a part of an successful 2015-2016 season going to the KIAC Conference Tournament semi-final.

Mike Gray played college basketball at Kentucky Wesleyan College from 1990-93 under Coach Wayne Boultinghouse and Assistant Coach Ray Harper which was a part of two Great Lake Conference Championship NCAA Division II 1990-91 & 1991-1992.

He graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1997 Bachelors Degree in Physical Education. In 2014, he earned a Master's Degree in "Biblical Studies" at Newburgh Theological Seminary.
