WVU Tech's Reyna notches shutout for RSC Women's Soccer defensive honors
FLORENCE, Ky. -- WVU Tech goalkeeper Martha Reyna posted a shutout in a victory over Bluefield (Va.) to earn River States Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 5-11.
Reyna, a junior from Mexico, made three saves and played all 90 minutes in the 3-0 win Sept. 7.
WVU Tech is 3-1 on the year with Reyna playing all four games in goal. She has two shutouts and a .970 goals-against average.
The Golden Bears travel to Shawnee State for their next game Sept. 13.
