Brescia's Natalie Jones repeats as RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Brescia (Ky.) University freshman outside hitter Natalie Jones has claimed River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week honors for Sept. 19, the second week in a row she's won the award.
A 5-8 native of Owenboro, Ky., Jones amassed 59 kills in three matches Sept. 12-18 with Brescia going 2-1. Jones record 24 kills versus Kentucky Wesleyan, 20 kills in a conference win over Cincinnati Christian and 15 kills versus Oakland City.
Jones averaged 4.21 kills per set and now leads the NAIA with 5.50 kills per set. She has a total of 211 kills to rank 19th nationally and first in the RSC. Jones is hitting .258 for the year.
Brescia (7-6, 1-0 RSC) plays its next game at home Sept. 20 versus Boyce College.
