Point Park's Meng tabbed RSC Volleyball Setter of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park (Pa.) University senior Emily Meng had a big week to earn River States Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week honors Sept. 19.
A native of Indianapolis, Ind., Meng delivered 104 assists in three matches as Point Park went a perfect 3-0 overall and 2-0 in RSC play. Meng also contributed 38 digs and 24 kills on the week. Meng average 8.00 assists, 2.92 digs and 1.85 kills per set for the week. She hit .232 on the attack.
Her biggest match of the week included 36 assists, 23 digs and six kills in an RSC Game of the Week victory over IU Kokomo. The night before, she had 36 assists, eight kills and nine digs in a home win over IU East. She also posted 10 kills and 32 assists in a win over NCAA Division II West Virginia Wesleyan.
Point Park (6-12, 2-0 RSC) plays its next match at home Sept. 20 versus Carlow for a conference matchup.
