Point Park's Morgan Dangelo picks up RSC Volleyball Defender of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park University sophomore libero Morgan Dangelo picked up River States Conference Volleyball Defender of the Week honors Sept. 19 for her play in the back row.
A 5-2 native of Greenwood, Ind., Dangelo collected 67 digs in three matches last week for Point Park, which went 3-0 overall and 2-0 in RSC action.
Dangelo's biggest performance included 36 digs in a five-set win at NCAA Division II West Virginia Wesleyan. She also had 14 digs in a big home win over IU Kokomo in the RSC Game of the Week and 17 digs in a conference victory over IU East the night before.
She averaged 5.15 digs per set for the week. She has 214 digs on the year. Point Park (6-12, 2-0 RSC) plays its next match at home Sept. 20 versus Carlow.
