IU Kokomo's Thomas picks up RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week award

FLORENCE, Ky. -- IU Kokomo outside hitter Lindi Thomas picked up River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week honors Sept. 26 for her play in three wins Sept. 19-25.

The 5-9 junior from Parker City, Ind., totaled 32 kills in three matches as IU Kokomo went 3-0 overall and 2-0 RSC. She hit .239 for the week and also totaled 26 digs, eight service aces and 10 blocks.

That led the Cougars to a 3-0 win over IU Northwest and conference victories over Brescia (Ky.), 3-0, and Asbury (Ky.), 3-1. The win over Asbury included 14 kills, 17 digs and four blocks in four sets.

Thomas has a team-high 146 kills on the year, and she ranks 32nd in the NAIA in kills per set at 3.650. IU Kokomo (10-3, 3-1 RSC) has its next match Oct. 1 at home versus IU East at 12 p.m.
