CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio -- The River States Conference Women's Basketball Game of the Week puts into focus two teams on a winning note as Midway University (16-7, 7-4 RSC) visits Ohio Christian University (16-7, 7-4 RSC) on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m. ET from Circleville, Ohio.

Midway, which is in second place in the RSC West Division and 1.0 game back of division leader IU Kokomo (8-3 RSC), is coming off a big home win over No. 21 IU East on Thursday night, 64-63. The Eagles have won five of their last seven conference games to climb up the standings.

Ohio Christian is also on the upward swing with victories in seven of its last eight RSC contests to move into second place in the RSC East Division.The Trailblazers, who are chasing first-place IU East (10-1 RSC) are "receiving votes" in this week's NAIA Division II Top 25. They picked up a 75-52 road win over Brescia in their last game Thursday night.

Midway comes into Saturday's matchup with guard Breanna Ball leading the way at 14.7 ppg, which is ranked fourth in the conference. Forward Timitryi Patterson posts 12.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Jasmine Johnson (9.4 ppg) has a team-high 42 treys, including the game-winner at IU East with 10 seconds left Thursday night.

Ohio Christian, which is 7-2 at home, has guards Erinn Bailey (12.5 ppg) and Paige Lewis (12.2 ppg) scoring double figures. Shawntell Parsons (8.6 ppg) has made a team-high 57 3-pointers, which is fourth in the conference. All three of those players scored double digits in the win at Brescia with Bailey posting a game-high 18.
