IU Kokomo's Trent Elliott wins RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week again
FLORENCE, Ky. -- IU Kokomo junior guard Trent Elliott turned in a 30-point game in a win Dec. 30 to claim River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 26-Jan. 1. It is the second time this year he's won the award.
Elliott, a 6-5 native of Culver, Ind., poured in 33 points the Cougars' 83-80 win over Miami-Hamilton. Elliott made 9 of 18 field goals, 4 of 9 from beyond the 3-point arc and was a perfect 11 for 11 from the foul line.
He added six rebounds, two assists and two blocks as IU Kokomo evened its overall record at 8-8. For the year, Elliott is averaging 21.4 ppg to rank third in the conference and 18th in NAIA Division II.
IU Kokomo has its next game Jan. 3 at home versus Carlow.
