FLORENCE, Ky. -- Junior guard Kristen Miller surpassed a big career milestone in two wins for No. 21 IU East and won River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 26-Jan. 1.

The 5-5 product of Ottawa, Ohio, keyed victories over St. Francis (Ind.) and No. 25 Huntington (Ind.) last week with double-figure scoring in both games. She surpassed 1,000 career points in the win over Huntington by scoring 13 points. That went along with five assists.

Miller, who also had 16 points and made a couple of treys versus St. Francis, is second on the IU East team with 12.4 points per game this year. She is shooting 87 percent from the foul line and has 61 assists, both of which rank second in the conference.

IU East is 12-4 overall, 3-0 RSC and plays at Asbury for its next game Jan. 3.
