FLORENCE, Ky. -- Week 5 of the River States Conference Women's Basketball Game of the Week puts in the spotlight IU Kokomo at Point Park University. The Cougars visit the Pioneers on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 12 p.m. ET.
IU Kokomo is 12-5 overall and 5-0 conference to lead the RSC West Division. The Cougars have won three in a row and have a 2.0 game lead over the rest of their division. Point Park is 14-4 overall, 4-1 RSC after Friday night's loss at home to Midway (Ky.), which puts the Pioneers in second place in the RSC West.

This edition of the #RSCgotw WBB pits the top two defensive teams in the conference. Point Park is fifth in the nation and first in the RSC in scoring defense giving up 54.9 points per game. IU Kokomo is 10th nationally and second in the conference at 57.4 ppg.
IU Kokomo is coming off a 68-50 home win over Carlow on Tuesday night. Point Park won Tuesday at Cincinnati Christian but lost at home Friday night to Midway, 76-53, while IU Kokomo had the night off.
IU Kokomo has leading scorer Deja Felder at 13.7 ppg followed by Whitney Williamson (10.7 ppg) and Abby Scott (10.1 ppg). Point Park has four players in double digits although two of them are lost for the year. Guard Maryssa Agurs (11.0 ppg) and guard/forward Ja'Nia McPhatter (10.0 ppg) pace the Pioneers.
