Asbury's Morlan repeats as RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- Asbury University middle hitter Kayla Morlan had a big week to notch River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Oct. 16-22. It is the second time this year she's claimed the award.
A 6-0 senior from Columbus, Ohio, Morlan, posted a strong attack percentage of .492 for the week, which included double-digit kills in all three matches for the Eagles. She totaled 38 kills in 10 sets for an average of 3.80 kills per set. Morlan also collected six total blocks on the week.
Morlan's big week on the attack included just eight attack errors in 61 attempts. She put down 13 kills in a 3-0 sweep of IU Southeast, 11 kills in a 3-1 win over IU East and a week-high 14 kills in a sweep of Ohio Christian. She did not have more than three errors in any match.
Asbury is now 13-5 overall, 8-2 RSC and travels to Brescia for its next match on Tuesday night.
