WVU Tech's Domingo Xam-mar is RSC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- WVU Tech's Jose Domingo Xam-mar picked up River States Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors for Sept. 24-Oct. 1 for his play as Golden Bears' goalkeeper.

A 6-4 freshman from Spain, Domingo Xam-mar made 10 saves on the week and was without a loss in two games. He came up with five saves in a 3-3, double-overtime tie with Midway. He then made five saves in one half of play in a combined shutout versus Brescia.

The Golden Bears remain unbeaten in conference play after the first weekend at 1-0-1 RSC, and they are 2-6-2 overall. Their next game is Oct. 5 versus IU East.
