IU Kokomo's Baker picks up another RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week honor

NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- IU Kokomo freshman Nyssa Baker picked up another River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week honor for her play Oct. 23-29. It is the third time this year she's earned a weekly honor and the second time as an attacker.

The 6-0 middle hitter from Fort Wayne, Ind., produced 44 kills and a.383 percentage in three matches last week, all conference wins for the Cougars. She also totaled 19 digs and 23 blocks on the week and had double-digit kills in all three victories.

She started off with 18 kills, seven digs and six blocks in a big, 3-2 win over IU Southeast. She then posted 13 kills, six digs and eight blocks in another big, divisional win over Brescia, 3-1. Finally, she put up 13 kills, six digs and nine blocks in another win over IU Southeast, 3-1.

IU Kokomo is 25-8, 13-0 RSC and has won 19 matches in a row. The Cougars visit Cincinnati Christian on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
