IU Kokomo's Thomas is RSC Volleyball Defender of the Week

NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- IU Kokomo outside hitter Lindi Thomas is once again the River States Conference Volleyball Defender of the Week for Oct. 23-30. It is the second time this year she's won the honor.

Thomas, a senior from Parker City, Ind., totaled 67 digs in three conference wins and also totaled 49 kills along with that. Her averages of 5.15 digs and 3.77 kills per set came in wins over IU Southeast, Brescia and IU Southeast.

Thomas posted 20+ digs in all three matches including 25 digs and 15 kills in the first win over IU Southeast and 21 digs and 15 kills in the other. There were also 21 digs and a week-high 19 kills in the victory over Brescia. For the week, her reception percentage was .967, and her serve percentage was .854.

IU Kokomo, 25-8 overall and 13-0 RSC, has won 19 matches in a row entering Tuesday's match at Cincinnati Christian.
