(RV) WVU Tech's Michael Scott wins RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- Michael Scott had a big week for (RV) WVU Tech to earn River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 13-20.
A 6-8 senior from Syracuse, N.Y., Scott averaged just under a double-double of 19.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in two games while shooting 57 percent from the field (16 for 28). He also averaged 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Scott started off with 14 points and 8 rebounds in a 104-73 win over Ohio-Lancaster. He then put up 28 points, 11 rebounds and three 3-pointers in a 96-67 victory over Ohio-Chillicothe.
WVU Tech is 5-1 and will visit the NAIA Division II Showcase this weekend in Kingsport, Tenn.
