#13 IU East's Tia King picks up RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- Senior Tia King averaged 21.0 ppg and surpassed a career milestone for No. 13 IU East to pick up River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for Nov. 13-20.

The Indianapolis, Ind., native averaged 21.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two games while shooting 50 percent from the field (15 for 30), 50 percent from 3-point range (4 for 8) and 89 percent from the foul line (8 for 9).

King eclipsed 2,000 points career points during the week, the first IU East player to do so. She had 28 points on 10 for 17 from the floor and three treys versus No. 1 Marian, a loss. King then totaled 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists in a win over Mt. Vernon Nazarene.

IU East is 6-1 and will visit the NAIA Division II Showcase this weekend in Kingsport, Tenn.
