IU Kokomo's Colgate picks up RSC Volleyball Setter of the Week
NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- IU Kokomo senior Casey Colgate picked up River States Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week for Oct. 30-Nov. 5 for her role in three conference wins for the Cougars.
Colgate, from Wanamaker, Ind., totaled 69 assists and 19 digs on the week to direct IU Kokomo to a 3-0 RSC record on the week and an undefeated conference regular season. She averaged 8.60 assists and 2.38 assists per set working out of a 6-2 rotation.
Her biggest match included 29 assists and seven digs in a 3-1 win over Asbury. She also tallied 26 assists and seven digs in a sweep of Midway and 14 assists and five digs in a 3-0 win over Cincinnati Christian.
IU Kokomo (28-8, 16-0 RSC) takes its 22-match win streak into the RSC Tournament as the top overall seed Nov. 10-11 at IU East. The Cougars play Ohio Christian in the quarterfinals Nov. 10.
