IU Kokomo's Thomas is RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- IU Kokomo senior Lindi Thomas garnered River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for her performance Oct. 30-Nov. 5.
The 5-9 outside hitter from Parker City, Ind., put up 41 kills and 41 digs in eight sets played last week to earn the honor. She averaged 5.12 kills and 5.12 digs on the week with an attack percentage of .348. That came in three conference victories, which gave the Cougars an unbeaten regular season in conference play and 22 straight wins.
Thomas totaled 18 kills and 17 digs in a big win over Asbury. Another big match was 14 kills in a win over Cincinnati Christian. She came up with nine kills and 19 digs in a sweep of Midway.
IU Kokomo (28-8, 16-0 RSC) takes the top overall seed in the RSC Tournament to be held at IU East Nov. 10-11. The Cougars play Ohio Christian in the quarterfinals Nov. 10.
