Rio Grande's Hill wins RSC MBB Player of the Week with 41-point game
NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- University of Rio Grande senior Will Hill put up a 41-point game to claim River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 4-10.
A 5-10 guard from Worthington, Ohio, Hill scored his career-high 41 points in a 104-90 win versus Marian (Ind.) over the weekend. He tied a school record with 10 3-pointers in the game, a figure that also tied for the most in NAIA Division II this season.
Hill made 12 of 20 field goals on the day with 10 makes on 15 attempts from beyond the arc. He also added four rebounds, four assists, one block, one steal and made 7 of 8 free throws.
Rio Grande (4-8, 1-1 RSC) has now won two in a row and three of its last four games and hosts No. 6 IU East for its next game Tuesday night.
