Rio Grande's Petty picks up RSC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- University of Rio Grande junior Tyanna Petty is the River States Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week after her performance Feb. 6-12.
The Somerset, Ohio, native recorded a pair of Top-10 placements in the field at the Tiffin Dragon Invite Feb. 11. She was second in the high jump with a height of 1.65 meters. Petty was also seventh in the long jump at 5.12 meters.
Petty also competed on the track placing second in the 400 meters and eighth in the 60 meter hurdles. Her mark in the high jump put her with the qualifying standard for the NAIA indoor national championship in the event.
