#RSCgotw Women's Basketball: Point Park at Rio Grande, Friday, Feb. 17 @ 6 pm ET

RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- Two of the three teams battling for the final two playoff spots in the RSC Women's Basketball Tournament are featured in the River States Conference Women's Basketball Game of the Week: Point Park at Rio Grande on Friday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. ET.

Point Park (18-10, 8-7 RSC) and Rio Grande (17-11, 8-7 RSC) are tied for third place in the RSC East Division along with WVU Tech (17-11, 8-7 RSC) as the weekend begins. One of those teams will be left out of the playoffs, and Friday's matchup between the Pioneers and RedStorm will play a big role in the playoff qualifiers out of the division.

Point Park won the earlier matchup between the teams this year, 68-62, at home on Dec. 2. Friday night's winner would be guaranteed of a playoff spot, regardless of what happens in each of their games on Saturday. Point Park finishes up at WVU Tech, and Rio Grande hosts Carlow. WVU Tech hosts Carlow on Friday night.

Friday's matchup of Point Park at Rio Grande features a top offense versus a top defense in the River States Conference. Rio Grande leads the RSC and ranks fourth nationally in field-goal percentage offense at .465. The RedStorm is second in the conference and 12th in the country scoring 80.2 ppg.

Point Park counters with the top defense in the conference holding opponents to .364 for field-goal shooting and 59.00 ppg, both tops in the league. The Pioneers are fourth nationally in 3-point field-goal defense and eighth in total steals.
