FLORENCE, Ky. -- The 2016-17 River States Conference Women's Basketball Tournament begins Feb. 22 with eight teams vying for the NAIA Division II National Championship automatic bid awarded to the champion. Follow the RSC Tournament Central at this page to stay updated.

No. 20-ranked IU East (25-5, 16-1 RSC) is the overall No. 1 seed in the RSC Tournament. The Red Wolves, already guaranteed an automatic bid to the national tournament as a result of their RSC regular-season championship, won the RSC East Division. IU East opens up the playoffs in the quarterfinal round Feb. 22 versus Asbury (Ky.) University (15-14, 10-8 RSC), the No. 4 seed from the RSC West.

IU Kokomo (19-11, 12-6 RSC) is the other No. 1 seed in the tournament and comes in as the RSC West Division champion. The Cougars take on No. 4 seed University of Rio Grande (Ohio) (19-11, 10-7 RSC) of the RSC East, in the quarterfinals Feb. 22.

Midway (Ky.) University (21-9, 12-6 RSC) is the No. 2 seed from the RSC West, and the Eagles hosts RSC East No. 3 seed WVU Tech (19-11, 10-7 RSC). The winner will face the IU East-Asbury winner.

Ohio Christian University (20-9, 11-6 RSC), the No. 2 seed out of the RSC East, welcomes No. 3 seed IU Southeast (16-14, 11-7 RSC) from the RSC West for the quarterfinal round. The winner moves on to meet the IU Kokomo-Rio Grande winner.

All games of the RSC Tournament will be hosted by the higher seed. The semifinals are Feb. 25, and the finals are Feb. 28.
