Asbury's Turnquest puts forth big week for RSC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

FLORENCE, Ky. -- Asbury University's Joshua Turnquest turned in a dominant week on his way to River States Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for March 13-19.

Turnquest, a freshman from Nassau, Bahamas, went a combined 6-0 between singles and doubles in Asbury's 3-0 team performance on the week. Turnquest went 3-0 at No. 1 singles in the Eagles' victories over Fairmont State, Westminster and Montreat.

He also went 3-0 at No. 2 doubles and dropped a total of only seven games in his six matches on the week. Turnquest's records on the year at 5-1 in singles and 4-2 in doubles.

Asbury is 6-1 overall and "receiving votes" in the NAIA Men's Tennis Top 25 Poll. The Eagles have their next match March 22 versus No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson.
