IU East's Fields takes home RSC Women's Golfer of the Week March 13-19
FLORENCE, Ky. -- IU East freshman Lexie Fields was the top performer for the Red Wolves at the Point Skyhawk Invite and thus won River States Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for March 13-19.
Fields, from Middletown, Ohio, had two rounds in the 80s to place 25th at the tournament, which had 68 golfers in the field. She opened up with an 83 and followed that up with an 84 on the par-72 track.
She led the way for the IU East team, which finished 13th. The Red Wolves have their next tournament March 27-28 at the Lindsey Wilson Spring Fling.
