#RSCBASEBALL Games of the Week: WVU Tech (9-3 RSC) at Rio Grande (7-5 RSC)

RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- WVU Tech travels to the University of Rio Grande for Week 2 of the River States Conference Baseball Games of the Week. The Golden Bears play at the RedStorm Friday-Saturday, March 24-25 for a four-game, weekend series.

WVU Tech is one of three teams tied for first place in the RSC standings with a 9-3 conference record. The Golden Bears are 15-12 overall and are coming off a series sweep of Brescia last week.

Rio Grande is 7-5 RSC and fifth place in the standings. The RedStorm is 13-14 overall and had a close series loss at IU Southeast, 3-1, last weekend.

WVU Tech hits .306 as a team to rank second in the conference. Tanner Levine is the top bat hitting .414 with three home runs and 23 RBIs. The Golden Bears have the second-best fielding percentage in the league at .956 and its 5.04 team ERA ranks fifth. Jerod Jobst (5-0) and Chris Davidson (4-2) lead the pitching staff.

Rio Grande has a 4.35 team ERA to rank third in the RSC. Daryin Lewis (4-1, 1.48 ERA) and Trent Downs (4-2, 2.85) lead the staff. Lewis is also the top hitter with a .344 average, four homers and 23 RBIs. The RedStorm is fourth in the league with a .282 team batting average and fifth in fielding at .945.
