FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park University sophomore Anna Shields registered the No. 1 800-meter time in the NAIA this past weekend to earn River States Conference Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for March 20-26.

Shields, from Torrington, Conn., posted a time of 2 minutes, 11.70 seconds to win the event at the NCAA Division II Cal U Early Bird. Shields knocked two seconds off the outdoor 800 M school record she set the week before.

Point Park's next competition is April 1 at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by NCAA Division II Slippery Rock.
