MIDWAY, Ky. -- First-place Midway (Ky.) University hosts WVU Tech for the River States Conference Baseball Games of the Week for a four-game series April 1-2 with a doubleheader each day in Midway, Ky.
Midway (16-13, 13-3 RSC) leads the RSC standings with 13 wins in 16 conference games. WVU Tech (16-17, 10-6 RSC) is not far behind in a tie for fourth place and 3.0 games back in the standings on a busy weekend of RSC games.

Midway has won eight conference games in a row to take over first place in the RSC. The Eagles own series sweeps over Brescia, Ohio Christian and Cincinnati Christian this year and a 3-1 series loss to IU Southeast.
WVU Tech is coming off a 3-1 series loss at Rio Grande salvaging a win in the fourth game. The Golden Bears have series sweeps over Cincinnati Christian and Brescia this year.
Midway has the best pitching in the conference leading the RSC in team ERA at 2.81 and opponent's batting average at .229. The Eagles rank fourth and 12th in the NAIA, respectively, in those categories. Midway has Hector Quinones (3-2, 1.17 ERA) and Chase Heslep (4-1, 2.03 ERA) leading the staff. Quinones is also the top hitter at .330 with six home runs and 25 RBIs, leading the team in all three areas.
WVU Tech is second in the conference in hitting with a .296 team batting average. The Golden Bears are also second in the league in fielding percentage at .953. Tanner Levine leads the bats at .409 with 3 homers and 24 RBIs. Next is Jacob Reimold at .376, three homers and 22 RBIs.
