Point Park's Beardsley repeats as RSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park (Pa.) University sophomore Nick Beardsley for the second week in a row has claimed River States Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Beardsley, from Torrance, Calif., threw a two-hit shutout versus College of St. Joseph (Vt.), a game that Point Park won, 1-0. That outing followed up a no-hitter thrown the week before versus Ohio Christian. The victory over St. Joseph included five strikeouts and three walks.
For the year, Beardsley is 4-0 with a 0.70 ERA. That covers eight games, five of which are starts. Point Park is 24-10 overall, 16-4 RSC and has its next games April 12 versus College of St. Joseph (Vt.).
