IU East's Jackson takes home RSC Women's Tennis Player of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- IU East freshman Morgan Jackson went unbeaten playing at the top of the Red Wolves' lineup to pick up River States Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for April 3-9.
Jackson, from Vandalia, Ohio, went perfect on the week going 2-0 at No. 1 singles and 2-0 at No. 1 doubles as the Red Wolves won matches over Alice Lloyd (Ky.) and Midway (Ky.) in conference play. The singles victories came in straight sets, and the doubles wins were by scores of 8-2 and 8-4.
IU East won both matches, 9-0, to improve to 13-5 overall and 4-0 RSC. The Red Wolves have their next match April 14 versus Asbury (Ky.) (6-3, 2-0 RSC), a matchup of teams unbeaten in conference play.
