Point Park's Domingo earns RSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week April 10-16
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park University right-hander Addison Domingo had a win and two saves in the series sweep at Midway University to earn River States Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for April 10-16.
Domingo, a junior from Carlsbad, Calif., was 1-0 with two saves and a 0.00 ERA in three outings last week. That covered five innings of relief in the four-game sweep at Midway. During those 5.0 innings, Domingo gave up no hits, no runs, no walks and totaled eight strikeouts. He also started all four games at second base.
Domingo picked up a save by striking out the side in the seventh inning of the second game, a 5-4 win. He got the win in two innings of scoreless relief in the third game, a 4-3 victory. Finally, he earned a two-inning save closing out the final game of the series, a 6-3 win.
For the year, Domingo is 7-3 with with a 3.64 ERA in 47.0 innings of work. He has 50 strikeouts on the year. Point Park plays at Seton Hill April 18 in its next contest.
