IU Southeast's James nets RSC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

FLORENCE, Ky. -- IU Southeast senior Jonathan James went unbeaten in his five matches last week to earn River States Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week April 17-23.

A native of Columbus, Ind., James went 5-0 on the week playing a variety of No. 1, 2 and 3 singles and No. 1 doubles. He won at every place he was put with a 3-0 singles record and 2-0 doubles card.

James won at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in a 9-0 win over Shawnee State. He notched victories at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles in a team win over Indiana Wesleyan and also cameback for a 6-1, 3-6, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles in a sweep of Taylor.

The Grenadiers have their next competition April 28-29 for the RSC Championship at Elizabethtown, Ky.
