WVU Tech's Levine wins RSC Baseball Player of the Week award
FLORENCE, Ky. -- WVU Tech first baseman Tanner Levine had a big week at the plate to win River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week April 17-23.
A senior from Long Beach, Calif., Levine hit .579 in five games last week. He racked up 11 hits in 19 at bats and also totaled 10 runs, four doubles, a homer, 10 RBIs and five walks.
Levine had eight hits, eight RBIs and five walks during a 3-1 series win over Asbury to key his week. He upped his hit total to 73, which leads the conference and ranks No. 6 in the NAIA. Levine leads the RSC in batting average at .420 and also has five homers and 48 RBIs.
WVU Tech (24-26, 7-2 RSC) finishes up the regular season at Ohio Christian this weekend.
