Midway's Toth takes home RSC Women's Tennis Player of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Midway University's Elizabeth Toth won two matches during a 5-4, conference win over Carlow to take home River States Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week April 17-23.
A sophomore from Algonqin, Ill., Toth won both of her matches at No. 2 doubles and No. 3 singles during the victory over Carlow. That pushed Midway to 6-7 overall and 3-3 RSC.
She rallied for a 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 win in singles play and also won her doubles match by a score of 8-5. Midway will have its next competition April 28-29 at the RSC Championship in Elizabethtown, Ky.
