PITTSBURGH -- The River States Conference Men's & Women's Track & Field Championships are set for Saturday, April 29 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Six men's and women's teams from the conference will be there competing at the RMU Island Sports Center. Point Park University is the meet host for 2017 and 2018.
GENERAL INFO: The River States Conference Men's & Women's Track & Field Championships are being conducted at the RMU Island Sports Center in Pittsburgh, Pa., and hosted by Point Park University. There will be eight men's and women's field events beginning at 9:30 a.m. and 14 men's and women's track events beginning at 11:00 a.m. The men's and women's teams that score the most points during the meet will be declared the River States Conference champions.

EVENT VENUE: The RMU Island Sports Center is located at 7600 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15225 and is 30 minutes west of Point Park University's Downtown Pittsburgh campus. The track & field is behind the white dome that is one site at the facility. Parking is available to the side of the dome and next to the track.
ADMISSION: Admission is $5 for an all-day pass. Athletes and coaches admitted free with their bib number and/or event pass (for coaches).
EVENT SCORING: The top six finishers in each event will score points for their team with 10 points for First Place, 8 points for Second Place, 6 points for Third Place, 4 points for Fourth Place, 2 points for Fifth Place and 1 point for Sixth Place. A maximum of three athletes from each team can score points in each event.
ALL-CONFERENCE: The top three finishers in each event will earn All-River States Conference Track & Field honors and receive RSC Track & Field Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, respectively. The top three finishers in each event and relay are asked to report to the awards podium to receive their medals immediately after the conclusion of their event.
AWARDS: Team & Individual Awards will be presented at a ceremony after the completion of the last event at approximately 6 p.m. All teams are asked to stay on site for this presentation. The team champions and runners up will receive their awards, respectively. Individual awards will be given for RSC Men's & Women's Outstanding Track & Field performers, RSC Men's & Women's Coach of the Year and RSC Men's & Women's Newcomer of the Year. The RSC Champions of Character Teams will also be named.
