Point Park's Domingo earns RSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week April 24-30
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park (Pa.) University junior Addison Domingo pitched seven scoreless innings of relief this past week to earn River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week for April 24-30.
Domingo, form Carlsbad, Calif., got the victory in Point Park's 5-2 victory over Brescia this past Sunday. He pitched the last seven innings of the 10-inning game and shutout the Bearcats during that time. Domingo gave up five hits, struck out six and walked three to improve to 10-3 on the year as the conference leader in wins.
Domingo is 4-0 with two saves, a 0.91 ERA, 23 strikeouts, three walks and 10 hits the last three weeks. That covers seven outings and 19.1 innings. He also had three hits in the 5-2 win over Brescia.
Point Park (35-17, 26-6 RSC) is the No. 1 seed in the upcoming RSC Baseball Tournament May 5-9 at Chillicothe, Ohio, and VA Memorial Stadium.
