PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – It has been nearly a month since the Midway (Ky.) University women's golf team won their second consecutive River States Conference Women's Golf Tournament to claim the automatic berth to this week's NAIA Women's Golf National Championship. But it's now time to tee it back up this week at the 23rd annual national tournament, which will take place at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., May 23-26.

The Eagles didn't have to wait to see if they got an at-large berth as they won the RSC championship to claim the automatic qualification. The NAIA released the first and second round pairings for the event last week.

Under the direction of fourth year head coach and two-time RSC Coach of the Year, Otis Smith, the Eagles are making their second consecutive trip to the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship.

The 161-player field consists of 18 automatic qualifying teams, which won or finished runner-up in their respective conference, independent or unaffiliated group tournament, 12 at-large berths and 11 individual qualifiers.

The event features two waves, a morning wave and an afternoon wave. The morning wave features groups going off at hole No. 1 and No. 10 beginning at 7:30 a.m. ET. The afternoon wave also sees groups going off at No. 1 and No. 10 starting at 12:45 p.m. ET and 12:15 p.m. ET, respectively.

In the first round, the Eagles are featured in the second group of schools that goes off on hole No. 10 starting at 1 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 23. The second round sees Midway going off on hole No. 1 beginning at 8:15 a.m. ET on Wednesday, March 24.

In both the first and second rounds, Midway will be playing with No. 17, Thomas (Ga.) and No. 22, Victoria (B.C.).

Midway's lineup includes, Kathryn Lawler (Georgetown, Ky.), Chelsea Schack (Alexandria, Ky.), Rylee Beard (Campbellsville, Ky.), Hannah Scroggins (Williamstown, Ky.) and Amanda Cox (Willisburg, Ky.), while Kelsey Whitehouse (Bowing Green, Ky.) is the alternate player.
