2017 All-River States Conference Women's Tennis Teams Announced

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. -- The 2017 All-River States Conference Women's Tennis Teams & Awards have been announced, and they were given out last weekend at the conference championship tournament at the Freeman Lake Courts in Elizabetown, Ky.

The All-RSC Women's Tennis First and Second Teams have six players each. The all-conference voting was conducted by the RSC women's tennis head coaches. There were also individual awards handed out.

RSC Tournament champion Asbury (Ky.) University led the All-RSC teams with three players on the first team and three more on the second team. The Eagles also claimed three of the individual awards with RSC Player of the Year Caitlin Conyers and RSC Newcomer of the Year Alejandra Diaz teamming up on the court to bring Asbury the title for RSC Coach of the Year Jarred Miller.

Asbury, which is 12-3 overall and 6-0 RSC, is receiving votes in the NAIA Women's Tennis Top 25 and is headed back to the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship later this month. Making the All-RSC First Team for the Eagles were Conyers, Diaz and Sarah Beth Alford.

RSC Tournament runner-up IU East had three players selected to the All-RSC teams including Brooklyn Hubbard on the first team. IU Southeast claimed the other two spots on the first team with Dana Frank and Alexis Applegate selected.

Heading the All-RSC Second Team were Asbury players Alex LoPrinzi, Emily Ross and Laura Ross. IU East players on the second team were Bri Ayres and Kaylin Venezia. IU Southeast's Peighton Dobbins was selected as well.

The All-RSC teams members will have their names forwarded on to the national ballott for consideration for NAIA Women's Tennis All-American.
