All-RSC Baseball Teams awarded at #RSCBASEBALL Tournament

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio -- The All-River States Conference Baseball Teams and Awards were handed out this weekend at the RSC Baseball Tournament being held at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio. There were 18 players named to each of the All-RSC First and Second Teams. Also named was the RSC Gold Glove team and the RSC Champions of Character Team.

WVU Tech center fielder Tanner LeVine took home top honors as RSC Baseball Player of the Year. The senior from Long Beach, Calif., is the leading hitter in the conference hitting .444 (83 for 187) with six homers and 51 RBIs. LeVine was one of four outfielders on the All-RSC First Team.

Rio Grande's Daryin Lewis was named the RSC Baseball Pitcher of the Year with a record of 9-1 and a 1.92 ERA entering the postseason. He earned two spots on the All-RSC First Team both at pitcher and third base. As a hitter, Lewis is hitting .363 with five homers and 36 RBIs.

WVU Tech third baseman Jacob Reimold was named the RSC Baseball Freshman of the Year as the top vote-getter who is a freshman. He earned a spot on the second team.

Point Park's Loren Torres claimed RSC Baseball Coach of the Year honors. He led the Pioneers to the RSC regular-season title at 26-6 conference.

Point Park led the All-RSC First-Team selections with pitchers Addison Domingo and Nolan Krivijanski, catcher Chris Hernandez, first baseman Emmanuel Lopez, outfielder Stefan Mrkonja and designated hitter Richard Perez.

Rio Graned took five spots on the All-RSC First Team with Lewis at pitcher and third base, Trent Downs at pitcher and Carlos Flores and Kameron Herring in the outfield.

Midway and IU Southeast each had three players on the first team with pitchers James Davenport and Jake McCoy and utility player Hector Quinones from Midway and shortstop Richard Rodriguez, catcher Tanner Leenknecht and second baseman Logan Barnes from IU Southeast.

The All-RSC Second Team followed a similar pattern to the first team and is listed below. The RSC Gold Glove team chose the best defender at each position. The RSC Champions of Character Team recognized one player from each team who best exhibited the five character values of the NAIA's Champions of Character program, which are respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
