IU East's Kopke claims RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week Sept. 11-17
NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- IU East outside hitter Breanna Kopke had a big week at the net to claim River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Sept. 11-17.
A sophomore from Fort Wayne, Ind., Kopke compiled a total of 48 kills in three matches as the Red Wolves went 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the start of conference play. She put up 20 kills in a 3-1 win over Point Park and then 12 kills in another RSC win over Carlow. Her week started with 16 kills versus Anderson, a 3-1 victory.
Kopke hit .280 for the week and averaged 4.36 kills per set. The big week improved IU East to 8-12 overall and 2-0 RSC. The Red Wolves play their next match at Taylor (Ind.) on Wednesday.
