IU Kokomo's Baker picks up RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- IU Kokomo's Nyssa Baker picked up River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Sept. 18-24 with a big week at the net.
Baker, a 6-0 freshman middle hitter from Fort Wayne, Ind., hit .350 in two matches as the Cougars were perfect in conference play. She averaged 2.57 kills per set with wins over Midway and Brescia. The 3-1 victory over Brescia had 13 kills and only two errors in 29 attempts. She totaled 18 kills and 9.0 blocks in seven sets on the week.
IU Kokomo is now 10-8 overall and 4-0 RSC to lead the conference and the RSC West Division. The Cougars have their next match Tuesday at home versus IU Northwest.
