Pioneers' Davis receives RSC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- Point Park University triple jumper Jryi Davis won the first River States Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week award, this after this performance at Penn State University.
Davis, a senior from Bangor, Pa., placed seventh at the NCAA Division I Nittany Lion Challenge in the triple jump to claim the award. Davis had a leap of 14.05 meters. He was the only competitor not from Division I.
Davis had qualified for the NAIA indoor national meet in the only other meet so far this season. That career-best leap of 14.51 meters currently ranks fourth in the NAIA.
