WVU Tech breaks into NAIA Top 25, Ohio Christian "receiving votes" for Men's Cross Country

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- WVU Tech has broken into the NAIA Men's Cross Country Top 25 rankings for the first time in program history. The Golden Bears checked in at No. 23 in the nation in the poll that was released Oct. 10 by the NAIA.

WVU Tech was "receiving votes" the week before and just outside of the Top 25 at No. 26 overall. With three Top 25 team finishes in four meets so far this year, The Golden Bears were able to climb into the rankings this past week. They are the only new team to the Top 25 this week.

Ohio Christian University has moved back into the "receiving votes" category after being there earlier in the year as well. The Trailblazers are rated as the No. 33 team in the nation this time. So far this year, the RSC has had three men's teams gain mention in the rankings with Point Park (Pa.) University coming in under "receiving votes" in previous polls.

The RSC Championship is just a few weeks away Nov. 3 in Owensboro, Ky., and hosted by Brescia (Ky.) University. For the complete NAIA release on the Top 25 Poll, click here. The rankings are listed below as well.
