No. 5 Rio Grande's Cam Orellana scores RSC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- No. 5-ranked University Rio Grande (Ohio) got five goals and 10 points last week from Nicolas Cam Orellana, who was named River States Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 8-15.
A 6-2 forward from Santiago, Chile, had the game-winning goal in a big RSC win over WVU Tech, 3-0. He also had four goals in a 12-1 win over rival Shawnee State, which included a hat trick of three goals in the second half. Cam Orellana leads the conference with 17 goals and 38 points.
The victories pushed the RedStorm to 13-0 overall, 6-0 RSC, and it will play at Ohio Christian on Thursday for the next game.
