IU Kokomo's Rudy tabbed RSC Volleyball Defender of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU Kokomo sophomore Macee Rudy had a big week in the back row and was tabbed River States Conference Volleyball Defender of the Week for Oct. 8-15.
The Middletown, Ind., native amassed 105 digs in five matches on the week. The Cougars won all five contests with a 1-0 showing in RSC action then a 4-0 weekend at the Indiana Tech Tournament. Rudy averaged 5.00 digs per set and passed at 2.2 rating in 143 attempts on the week.
Rudy had a week-high of 38 digs in a five-set win over Lawrence Tech. She also had 23 digs versus Madonna and 18 and 17, respectively, versus IU Southeast and Goshen.
IU Kokomo (23-4, 9-0 RSC) will play at Point Park on Friday for its next match.
