Brescia's Laurent named RSC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Brescia (Ky.) University forward Jean Laurent scored a hat trick in a big result versus Asbury (Ky.) University to earn River States Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 24-30.
Laurent, a senior from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, scored all three of the Bearcats' goals in a 3-3 tie versus Asbury. His six-point game kept Brescia unbeaten in the conference at the time. He scored three first-half goals to stake a 3-1 lead.
Brescia is 5-5-1, 2-1-1 RSC, although Laurent did not play the next game, a loss to Midway, due to injury. The Bearcats will play at WVU Tech on Thursday for their next game.
