IU Southeast's Loftus named RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU Southeast senior Monica Loftus had four double-doubles in four matches and was named River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Sept. 24-30.

Loftus, a 5-7 native of Louisville, Ky., put up 59 kills and 57 digs in four matches while reaching double digits in both categories in all four contests. She had averages of 4.92 kills and 4.75 digs per set and hit for a percentage of .328. That powered the Grenadiers to a 3-1 record on the week.

Loftus tallied 15 kills in three of the matches, and the other match had 14 kills. A high of 22 digs on the week came versus IU Kokomo. She also collected 12 digs in two of the other matches and 11 in the other.

IU Southeast is 15-4, 2-2 RSC and hosts Brescia (Ky.) for its next match on Tuesday.
